The Social Hub Rotterdam

The Social Hub Rotterdam was a wonderful surprise — a place that still proudly carries its roots as former student accommodation, and in the best possible way. Its youthful spirit and creative energy give the hotel a fun, welcoming atmosphere that makes it stand out from more traditional stays. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile or suggestion, which made the experience feel relaxed and personal. The self-service laundromat in the basement was an absolute godsend — practical, easy to use, and a small detail that makes long stays or extended travel so much easier. The café on the ground floor served excellent coffee and offered great vegan options, making it the perfect spot to start the day or unwind after exploring the city. The hotel is also easily reachable by tram from Rotterdam Central Station, which made getting around effortless. My room had an amazing view of the river and city, and while the amenities were simple, everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. For anyone travelling on a budget, it offers fantastic value without compromising on style or atmosphere. The Social Hub manages to blend comfort, community, and creativity — a perfect choice for travellers who enjoy friendly faces, good coffee, and a touch of fun.

The Social Hub has a Work Cafe, is a Co-Working Space, has ping pong, pool, and a mini football, bikes to rent, many spaces to meet and chat. The rooms and hallways in the sleeping areas have a notion of a student dorm, functional, basic, a little worn down. The common spaces are creative, beautifully decorated, for a younger audience. The rooms have a kitchenette but you will have to ask for all cooking equipment. There a stroopwaffels and condoms in the room. A lot of nice touches. It feels safe, modern, and the location is amazing. Shower is spacey and the shampoo and shower gel are in refillable containers. Personell was friendly, helpful, fast.

Best breakfast ever! The best and creamiest scrambled eggs I ever tried and the softest and fluffiest small pancakes ever! The food was tasty and healthy, there were even fresh smoothies every morning. There were vegetarian and vegan options. Also, breakfast lasts for 3-4 hours so you have time wether you want to eat early or sleep in. The staff was really friendly. They were available 24/7 and really helpful. There is also a laundry room with laundry machine and dryer and gym. You can use it via app and it is really useful for longer stays. Also, there is a lot of shared spaces with games like pool or darts where you can hang out and meet other guests. The room was clean and spacious with big bathroom.

Great location near tram station. Metro in walking distance. The hotel was amazing, had a bar at the entrance where one could get something to eat or drink. It has a library, playroom area with pool, table football and other. The room itself was fairly large and spacious with a large comfortable bed and a great view. The bathroom was fine as well. We even had a chair and full size table where one could work. The staff was very friendly. There is also a supermarket nearby
